The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for Sr. Manager, Partnership Strategy.

OVERVIEW

The Sr. Manager, Partnership Strategy will be responsible for using fan & partner insights to develop big ideas to support new business opportunities and the growth of existing partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be a creative, energetic, and organized thought leader with a strong acumen for solving business challenges. This role will work closely with the Partnership Development and Partnership Marketing teams to drive our business forward.

This Position reports to the Director, Partnership Strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Connect Insights to Ideas:

- Leverage brand and fan insights to design authentic and impactful partnership campaigns that meet our partners' business goals and enhance the Blue Jays brand.
- Manage the Partnership team’s portfolio of research and insights tools to track partner results and uncover new growth opportunities.
- Assist the Partnership Marketing team by utilizing research tools to highlight partner ROI and fan insights, addressing changing brand priorities for key renewal discussions.
- Work with the Partnership Development team to identify priority categories and uncover fan insights that align with prospective partners’ target audience and business objectives.
- Proactively seek out trends and best practices in the sports marketing and sponsorship landscape to enhance our business.

Creative Craftmanship:





- Spearhead the development of compelling new business and renewal proposals that resonate with partners.
- Lead the ideation and conceptualization of innovative proposals that align with the prospective partner’s business objectives, ensuring each campaign is tailored to resonate with their target audience.
- Oversee the creative design process, ensuring that all proposals feature engaging visuals and content that effectively communicate the partnership's potential benefits.

Collaboration & Building Relationships:

- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop impactful programs that drive business results for our partner and enhance the experience of Blue Jays fans at Rogers Centre and across Canada.
- Build trusting relationships with peers, corporate partners, and other parties such as agencies, vendors,



and consultants.
- Work closely with Partnership team members to support the annual planning process and special projects by conducting research and creating internal reports that facilitate informed decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of Marketing, Strategy, Partnership, Sponsorship and/or Client Consulting experience.
- University Degree (Marketing and/or Business specialty preferred).
- Ability to analyze data/insights and articulate findings in a contextually relevant way.
- Ability to effectively understand & respond to client marketing briefs.
- Excellent at public speaking and creative storytelling.
- Strong presentation building skills.
- Strong team player.



Open to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to deliver exceptional client experiences and support your peers on the Partnerships team.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Strong relationship skills required to work with top-tier clients and internal leaders.
- Critical and strategic thinker; ability to be proactive and offer solutions internally and to clients.
- Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills; required to work under pressure and rise to creative challenges under tight deadlines.
- Experience that would be considered an asset: Creative design & presentation building (Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint), brand management experience, experience leveraging social & digital marketing tactics, familiarity with experiential activations.




- Hours outside of a typical workday are required to work games and events (can include evenings, weekends and holidays).

- Ability to travel to destinations across North America on occasion (up to 10%).
- Ability to work from Rogers Centre.
