JOB DESCRIPTION

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Dock Supervisor in Grand Falls Windsor, NL. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (23:30 PM - 8:00 AM)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and training dock employees
- Achieving and improving dock KPI goals
- Ensure Equity and Occupational Health & Safety at the dock
- Ensure employees adhere to company procedures and policies
- Review and control costs
- Weekend reefer check rotation
- Operate shunt truck/straight truck if required
- Assist in achieving Terminal and Company Goals such as on-time delivery, safety, and claims
QUALIFICATIONS
- Years of Experience Required: 4-7 years
- Education: Trade Certificate or College Diploma
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems with strong attention to detail
- Strong sense of urgency
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of AS400 and MS Office
- Cross dock and forklift experience
- Knowledge of productivity measures
- Working knowledge of different types of trailer equipment
- Shunting capabilities / straight truck movement knowledge
- Class 1 Driver's License is considered as asset
