Brand Manager, Consumer Shows

we have a very exciting role for you! Blue Ant Media is seeking an experienced and talented Brand Manager to lead the strategic planning and execution of marketing efforts for our 11 compelling Consumer events.

4. Ottawa Cottage Life & Backyard Show (April)
5. Fall Home Show (Sept/Oct)
6. Fall Cottage Life Show/Seasons Christmas Show (November)
7. Home & Backyard Show
8. The Baby Show Vancouver (November)
9. Fall Baby Show (Sept/Oct)
10. Spring Baby Show (April)
11. The Healthy Living Women’s Show (June)

Other shows may be added as our event portfolio grows.

As the Brand Manager, you will oversee all Consumer Show Marketing initiatives, including B2C and B2B strategies.



You must possess an understanding of our various target audiences and be able to turn raw data into client and consumer insights; and share these learnings with key stakeholders (show directors, sales team, creative, etc.) in order to elevate future marketing campaigns and show experiences.

- Consumer Marketing: work with the creative team to develop advertising campaigns that communicate the show experience and increase ticket sales year over year. Work with show leads to ensure that each show experience lives up to its brand promise.
- Trade Marketing: support the sponsor and exhibit sales teams by developing sales touchpoints and materials. Ensure key partners feel properly integrated into the shows.
- Stakeholder liaison: work with the consumer show leads to ideate experiences and content that are in line with ourbrand promise. Work with the TV brand leads to integrate Blue Ant priority brands into the shows.



Oversee the Cottage Life brand booth experience, liaising with key Cottage Life stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

Attendance and Sales Growth

- Develop strategies with Show Directors/Managers to drive year-over-year growth in attendance and booth sales
- Oversee relationship with media agency (brief writing, stakeholder sign-off of media plan, creation and delivery of creative assets, invoicing, final report and recommendations)
- Manage relationship with internal creative department (lead brainstorms and briefing sessions to inspire compelling TV, radio, print and digital ads). Sell ideas through and elicit sign-off from key stakeholders. Ensure websites are up to date.
- Support activities with our external and internal public relations teams (review pitches and media releases,



assist on-site with live remotes and media activities, leverage media buys for PR purposes)
- Support exhibit sales and sponsorships by producing compelling sales materials (e-newsletters and direct mail pieces)
- Responsible for the creation of exhibitor marketing toolkits

- Work with marketing coordinator to oversee social media calendar - ensure we are achieving peak presence and results and driving audience engagement throughout the year to keep brand active in off-season

Show Support

- Work with Show Directors/Managers to ensure themes, feature areas, content, and experiences connect with marketing campaigns - ensure that audience insights are properly integrated into shows
- Help ideate sponsorship ideas and features that will drive attendance
- Ensure that all marketing integrated sponsor obligations are fulfilled




- Work with Creative Team and Show Opps to plan and develop 3 Cottage Life Show booths a year
- Attend all our shows to ensure the plans and schedules are being executed, in partnership with the rest of the show team
- Contract and manage onsite photographer and videographer; manage shot lists and delivery
- Send out post-show surveys to attendees and vendors. Interpret and share results

Other

- Collaborate with internal marketing team to ensure that opportunities are leveraged within each show for promotion of priority Blue Ant Media brands and properties (i.e. Cottage Life, Makeful, Homeful, Love Nature)

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years in marketing or brand management, preferably in events, consumer shows, or related industries




- Proven track record of driving ticket sales and audience growth through creative marketing strategies and digital campaigns
- Experience in B2C and B2B marketing, including campaign development and execution
- Familiarity with sponsorship and exhibitor sales support
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social media advertising, email marketing platforms)
- Experience managing media agencies and creating multimedia advertising campaigns
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills for various marketing channels
- Knowledge of data analysis and audience insight interpretation to inform strategies
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- A creative,



solution-oriented mindset with a keen eye for detail
- Willingness to travel to attend and oversee execution at all consumer shows
- A passion for creating engaging, memorable experiences for consumers and partners
