What Are We Looking For?
Huntington Hills Out of School Care Program is a caring and vibrant, non-for-profit organization with a long history of providing quality child care programs and support services to children and their families.
We are seeking passionate, creative, and competent early childhood educators to be a part of our dynamic team! We are also seeking someone who will be willing to get their license to drive our school bus. Our program strives to be inclusive, high-quality environments that support and facilitate optimal development of the whole child. Under the direction of the Early Childhood Director,
the Early Childhood Educator will work directly within the early childhood program providing care and creative programming for children 5 - 12 years of age.
Children are busy and fast-paced – so are we. We are looking for someone who operates with a high level of detail and organization. This role will give you the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and will require that you represent our program’s vision and values with spirit and professionalism.
Every week of work will be different, and you will navigate your way with enthusiasm, problem-solving skills, and humor. Flexibility, curiosity, creativity, and multi-tasking are key given the ever-evolving nature of our work in the field.
What Does the Role Entail?
- Interacting directly with the children, providing quality care and creative programming.
- Planning and facilitating fun, creative, and consistent child interest programming.
- Engaging in positive daily communication and interactions with families to continually build meaningful relationships.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the program and required health and safety practices.
- Collaborating with other staff members to deliver high-quality and developmentally appropriate programming based on FLIGHT and Emergent Curriculum.
- Ensuring that all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing and Huntington Hills requirements.
- Adhering to all Child Care Licensing Regulations and legal requirements, including internal policies and procedures.
- Attending staff meetings and other training as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Ability to provide professional references.
- Diplomas, certificates, or other evidence of training related to child growth/development.
- Experience working in a childcare or recreational setting.
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check.
*Bus driver license makes for a strong contender.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months
Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
