Our team is looking for a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer (Contractor) who is driven to deliver their best work every day and is committed to working collaboratively to achieve shared goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
2. Evaluating mechanical and electromechanical systems and products.
3. Preparing and checking specifications, reports, datasheets, scopes of work, requisition packages, and other technical documentation.
4. Interfacing with vendors to obtain technical and commercial information.
5. Preparing material take-offs and bills of material.
6. Attending and participating in HAZOPs,
Model Reviews, and Constructability Reviews as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
2. Must have 10+ years working as an Engineer specifically within the mechanical engineering discipline.
3. Registered with APEGA as a P.Eng (Registration with PEO and/or EGBC is considered an asset).
4. Previous experience in a construction support/RFI handling capacity.
5. Good technical understanding of the Mechanical Engineering field within the midstream industry.
6. Previous experience with different disciplines and their deliverables, such as Process Basis Design, Site Layout, P&ID;’s, SLD, and Area Class is considered an asset.
7. Demonstrated progressive experience and responsibility is an asset.
