The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Home Care works as a member of an interprofessional health care team utilizing the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to individuals across the life span. The LPN is responsible for her/his nursing practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). In collaboration with the Registered Nurse Case Manager, the LPN is responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of Home Care clients and their caregivers/families. You will play a key role in providing safe,
quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of Home Care experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of a post-basic Medication Administration and CVAD certification for LPN's. A keen interest in wound care and a willingness to acquire expertise through education and training. Handling, moving and lifting heavy or awkward equipment and/or individuals are required.
A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Ability to perform all work related duties in accordance with regulated legislature. Access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the Community a definite asset.
