Location: Various locations across Alberta
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support the organization’s programs and events.
This role involves ensuring that volunteers have a positive and meaningful experience while contributing to the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment and retention strategies.
- Coordinate volunteer orientation and training sessions.
- Match volunteers with appropriate roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise and support volunteers during their service.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities.
- Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions.
- Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in volunteer management or coordination.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of volunteers.
- Proficiency in volunteer management software and tools.
