Location Address: Hybrid - Scarborough– Minimal days in office-mostly remote-want candidates in GTA in case need to come in

Contract Duration: 10 months – to Oct 31, 2025

Reason: New project

Business group: Client Engineering - Development and Business Analysis- team looks after development and support for branch applications and products

Project: Replacing financial planning platform, in soft development phase, full development in January-dev working in back end for API development for the new platform- moving to Conquest Platform- APIs connect Conquest to the Bank Systems

Responsibilities:

- Research analysis and programming, technical documentation




- Tech stack- Java
- 100% back end role
- Working closely with other developers and solutions architects
- design, develop and implement applications- generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
- Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
- Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
- Leverage Industry best practices to design, text, implement and support a solution

Must haves:

- 8+ years java backend developer
- 5+ years Application architecture & API Design
- 5+ years building microservices using spring boot
- 5+ years with Cloud foundry & Kubernetes

Nice to Haves:

- Experience with all phases of SDLC
- Proficient with SQL Queries, PL/SQL, & SQL Loader or equivalent
- Experience with SOAP, & JSON

Best vs Average- Ideal candidate is able to take a problem, research it and document it and come back with a solution with a minimal hand holding, who is independent, strong JAVA/API Developer who has experience with secure coding
