Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated student to join our ServiceNow Development team in Toronto. In this role, you will help us build and maintain both custom-built and cloud-based applications to support various departments within OMERS. Depending on the projects you work on, this role could include front-end and/or back-end development, requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, testing, bug fixing and resolution of time sensitive issues. Please note this is an 8-month student opportunity.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

- ServiceNow application development, cross-application development, and application interface design
- Application support, maintenance, data standardization & administration processes
- Requirement analysis, planning and documentation
- Configuration & support for inbound and outbound integrations




- End-user support of existing applications

To succeed in this role, you are:

- Currently pursuing an university degree or college diploma in Computer Science or Computer Programming
- Self-motivated, able to manage time, and work with minimal supervision
- Proficient with the following technologies
- JavaScript
- HTML5
- CSS3
- jQuery
- MySQL
- Web Services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP)

- Experienced in application development & support, including cross-platform integrations
- Experienced with integration & web-service concepts (REST API, SOAP, JDBC)
- Experienced with workflow analysis and design
- Confident in your written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with requirements gathering and able to translate business requirements into technical documentation
- Collaborative and work well within a fast-paced team environment




- Able to present ideas and share knowledge to team members or internal stakeholders
- Open to the introduction of new ideas, creative thinking & problem solving
