The University of Victoria invites candidates to apply for the role of Security Officer in the Campus Security Services department. Together with the full Campus Security Services team, Security Officers are essential for ensuring a safe, secure, and inclusive campus environment.

Hours of work vary based on operational demand, campus events, and time of year. Shifts may be up to 12 hours in length and include days, nights, and weekends. We welcome applicants who are new to the field of campus and community safety as well as experienced safety professionals.

CUPE 917 salary rates for this opportunity are as follows:

A Security Officer with First Aid earns $29.93 per hour, plus shift premiums of $2.27 per hour for night shift and $4.49 per hour for weekend shifts.
