We are seeking an Assistant / Junior Underwriter to support our growing team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth mortgage transactions from start to finish while working closely with an experienced mortgage agent. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain accuracy will be essential in driving our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative tasks to facilitate the seamless progression of mortgage files from application to funding.
- Communicate with clients, lenders, and business partners to ensure a smooth mortgage process.
- Support the mortgage agent in underwriting duties, including document review and file preparation for submission.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of mortgage processing.
Qualifications
- Must hold or obtain a Level 1 Mortgage Agent License within the first 90 days of employment.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in banking, financial services, mortgage-related roles, or strong administrative support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships with clients, lenders, and partners.
- Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for personal and professional growth in the mortgage industry.
