We are looking for an Intermediate Construction Administration Technologist to join our team. collaborate and interact in a team-oriented environment.Team player who is open to collaboration and gaining experience from our team of professionals.Engage in creative and critical thinking.Detail oriented, self-starter, highlight motivated, and deadline driven.Passionate about architecture and its technical side, with a willingness to further develop related skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and scopes of work.Enthusiastic about construction administration and a strong leader/mentor.THE RESPONSIBILITIES:Support code compliance and constructability reviews throughout the design development and into construction drawing stages.Review and coordinate responses for Requests for Information and Shop Drawings.Provide construction administration and production drawing support.Aid in value-engineering, cost-saving, and innovative design solutions for ongoing projects. Navigate the technical language of Authority Having Jurisdiction comments and develop the appropriate response.Ability to interpret Nation Building Code and describe in layman terms to internal and external personnel.Writing field reports and formal documentation procedures.Support Contract Administration through contract review, leading and minuting project meetings,
reviewing specifications and scope drawings (mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, landscape, and geotechnical), field reports, completing final walkthroughs and Professional Representative Schedules, complete closeout and final lessons learned.Deal directly with clients, contractors, product suppliers and other design professionals and approving authorities.Organize and plan accordingly to execute tasks based on assigned priorities.Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.Update and maintain project and job list filing (digital and paper).WHAT'S REQUIREDThe Ideal candidate will have the following credentials and experience:Post-secondary education degree/diploma/certificate in either construction management, architectural technology, civil engineering, or project management.
Minimum 3-5 years of construction related experience in Canada.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.Experience with multi-use, multi-unit residential, industrial, and commercial projects.Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software, strong skills is an asset.Familiarity with residential portions of building code is an asset.Prior project coordination experience is an asset.Experience from project conception to completion is an asset.Project Management Professional designation is an asset.Background in architectural study is an assetWHAT YOU GET IN RETURN: Opportunity to work for a professionally managed company that operates with integrity, a collaborative and supportive work culture.Work alongside a dynamic team of talented professionals.Be involved in both small and large scale,
