Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Accounting Services Coordinator – District Office position is the coordinator of the school accounting function and the key liaison between the schools and the board office. This position also coordinates the district accounts receivable function and assists with accounts payable.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12 Graduation or equivalent
Successful completion of two years post-secondary education in accounting
Three of more years of relevant financial and accounting experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to analyze, interpret,
problem solve and use judgement.
Minimum keyboarding speed of 40 wpm
Demonstrated intermediate Excel Skills
Knowledge of office procedures and record management
Knowledge of computerized financial accounting systems
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend district sites.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Proficient in the use of Power School Atrieve
Proficient in the use of KEV School Cash
Experience with training non-financial staff on financial procedures
Knowledge of School District operations, polices, and procedures.
