The driver will be responsible for predominantly operating a box truck, and on occasion may operate other types of trucks that fit their license such as a tanker trailer, van trailer and vacuum truck. No overnights.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver and/or pick up goods in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal guidance
2. Ensure correct processing of documents, including manifests
3. Perform pre/post trip inspections
4. Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation of vehicle,



carriage of goods, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration
5. Maintain a clean driving record and drive safely and professionally, obeying all traffic rules at all times
6. Assist in plant when not driving, including shunting, loading and unloading tankers
7. Provide customer focused services in all activities and maintain good working relationship
8. Respond to emergencies and help with the spills clean-up
9. Actively participate in safety meetings, identify and report all incidents and participate in investigations as necessary
10. Housekeeping to maintain a safe work area and clean truck
11. Overtime, as required
12. Other duties as requested by Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

1. Start times vary between 5 am-7am and end times between 3pm-5pm
2. Must possess a valid AZ license
3. 10 years of AZ/DZ commercial driving experience
4. Box truck experience is required.
5. Must have a clean abstract
6. Must have tanker/liquid transport experience
7. Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, and DOT Regulations
8.



Demonstrated physical ability to work, including but not limited to, length sitting, climbing, lifting and pulling.
9. Must possess excellent communication skills
10. Must be customer service oriented
11. Experience with border crossing an asset
12. Experience with transport of manifested materials an asset
