Summary: Under the direction of the Software Developer or Manager,
the Software Development Assistant - Intern/Student will be responsible for supporting the corporate wide engineering and quality mandates and will work closely with the Ultrasound Systems software development and other Engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the development, testing and documentation of the ultrasound system platform software within the software development team, to meet project development deliverables.
Essential Job Functions: Assist in creating/updating various Ultrasound Systems software deliverables as required by our quality system and the project requirements.
In a timely fashion, report any variances from the target completion date of the tasks, or that the tasks cannot be completed.
Analyze results and defect data to identify problematic areas.
Work effectively in collaboration with staff across the organization.
Other duties as directed by Software Developer or Management.
Knowledge and Experience: In-process of completing, or just completed, a post-secondary degree in engineering, computer science,
physics or a related discipline would be desirable.
Familiarity with C/C++Familiarity with programming design and algorithm.
Familiarity with C# is an asset.
Familiarity with signal processing is an asset.
Familiarity with ultrasound systems, transducers, or medical devices an asset.
Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-driven, organized and good with time management
Excellent dexterity and coordination for working with miniature devices
Ability to work with hands and perform meticulous tasks with precision Ability to thrive in a diverse, cross-functional environment
Ability to use MS Office applications for communication and documentation
Ability to lift 25 pounds, with or without accommodations
