Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead an Operations IT Enhancement Project related to a transformation program of bringing IT services back in-house.
This role requires you to be onsite 3 days/week at Calgary or Edmonton office
Must Haves:
- 10+ years experience as a Project Manager leading a variety of technology projects with IT governance
- Experience with Work & Asset Management processes and systems (Maximo, OIC and OFS).
- Experience with MS Project, reporting tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and managing their deliverables, including contracts and SOWs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment of IT enhancements with business objectives and operational needs.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the OCM Lead to design and execute change management strategies, ensuring successful adoption of process and system changes.
- Establish and maintain strong credibility with executives, steering committees, and frontline teams to align project goals and outcomes.
- Confidently present project updates, risks, and milestones to executive stakeholders, while translating technical information into actionable insights for business users.
- Balance technical implementation with operational business processes to ensure the project delivers measurable business value.
- Governance & Reporting: Adhere to governance frameworks and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and variance to leadership teams.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve risks and challenges.
- Collaborate with technical teams, OCM, and business stakeholders to execute project deliverables effectively.
- Manage 3rd party vendor SOWs and work authorization, tracking progress against milestones
- Follow established processes to engage the services of clients Managed Service Provider
- Adhere to clients IT project delivery governance framework.
- Complete regular status reporting as per program and project requirements
- Actively manage budget forecasts, accruals, and variance reporting.
