In Canada, CNOOC International has oil sands assets in Long Lake, located in northern Alberta just south of Fort McMurray, which is a SAGD and partial Upgrader operation with production capacity of 85,000 barrels of bitumen a day.

We also have interest in several other oil sands projects, including Hangingstone, operated by Greenfire Resources Operating Corporation and Syncrude's oil sands mining upgrading facility.

In addition to our oil sands business, we have shale gas land in Northeast British Columbia, a power station in Balzac, Alberta, and interest in a wind farm in southern Alberta.

Calgary is our regional corporate office for all North America.

Therefore, we are seeking aContractor - HR Coordinatorto join our growing team in

Calgary, Alberta.

This dynamic role will be instrumental in supporting recruitment, information processing/analyzation,



and various other HR functions.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in Business and/or Human Resources, strong analytical and communication skills, and a keen interest in a broad range of HR topics.

Please note this is a 12 months contract position.

Your Background • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources.• Previous work experience within HR roles would be an asset.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.• Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Power

Point, Outlook).• Sound judgement in handling confidential information.• The ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy in deliverables.• Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize.• Experience using Workday (or other HRIS software) would be an asset.





Your Role with Our Team Talent Acquisition:• Provide assistance to the Talent Acquisition team in full lifecycle recruiting for employees, students, and contractors.• Supports the high volume of jobs to post, refresh and sponsor to ensure hiring managers are receiving qualified candidates in a timely manner.• Assist with the creation of materials related to Talent Acquisition procedures and policies (e.g., process documentation FAQs, quick-reference cards etc.) and maintain regular updates to our internal CNOOC North America webpages.• Helps maintain shared mailboxes.• Assists with Applicant Tracking System (ATS)



maintenance.• Supporting the recruitment process in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).• Complete background checks for new hires.• Respond to queries from candidates, employees, and vendors or direct query to the appropriate contact.• Assist with the booking of interviews.• Support ease of transition from candidate to employee by supporting the coordination of the onboarding experience for new hires.• Track and report on recruiting activity for North America.• Support the planning and execution of recruitment programs.HR Analyst:• Maintain employee information in Workday including but not limited to new hires, job and compensation changes, time off adjustments, and terminations.• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, as well as the proper integration between Workday and other systems such as SAP and Dayforce.• Create and update existing Workday documentation and guidelines for employees, Managers,



and Administrators.• Conduct user acceptance testing for new system updates.• Acts as the key point-of-contact for all HR Business Partners' requests.• Utilize Workday & Excel to create a variety of reports.• Examine and identify key trends to show data reporting in a clear, concise manner to key stakeholders.• Liaise with other HR functions such as Payroll, Benefits, etc. to support overall team effectiveness.• Generate reports, charts/graphs for various headcount, employment data, and workforce trends.• Support special projects as required, such as reorganization, new work schedules, etc.• Assists in filing/maintaining confidential documentation.
