Our expectations

The Merchandising Business Analyst’s mandate is to act as a business partner to the Merchandising team, providing expertise and guidance in monitoring the results of merchandising activities and strategic action plans, to help achieve financial objectives, leveraging leading business and technology practices.

The incumbent will leverage their analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify opportunities, and translate them to actionable outputs.

Your role

Perform detailed cost-benefit analyses of product categories, identify savings opportunities and submit recommendations to the Merchandising team

Collaborate with the Merchandising team by helping to align their cost, term and contract negotiations, ensuring the best value for the business.

Analyze sales data and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement and propose recommendations.





Contribute to process improvement initiatives or special projects and monitor results.

Support and guide the Category Manager in decision-making and in the use of the tools developed

Maintain and improve reporting models and tools to respond to business changes.

The qualifications we are looking for

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Work experience in retail and product merchandising
Work experience in cost analysis is an asset
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
Excellent proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools
Ability to consolidate, analyze and communicate complex data effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.




Strong communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization and across functions
Strong organization skills
Ability to operate in ambiguity
