Data Leader
- This leadership role collaborates with business and departmental stakeholders to ensure the organization’s master data is accurate, consistent, and effectively referenced. The role involves: Leading the implementation and ongoing management of master data processes and solutions to support business objectives.
- Overseeing a team of data analysts dedicated to enhancing and maintaining master data quality.
- Driving the development and execution of data quality improvement initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage processes to create and maintain global data standards.
- Identify and implement solutions that align with MDM processes and organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year strategy for master data management, including roadmaps for solutions and processes.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance MDM practices based on feedback and evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external solution providers as necessary.
- Lead strategic initiatives to enhance MDM processes and systems.
- Define and implement data quality strategies, leveraging industry best practices.
- Partner with business leaders to assess current data quality and recommend enhancements.
- Manage initiatives to address data quality challenges, including data correction and process improvement activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data quality and execute on those initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a team of MDM and data quality analysts.
- Align team objectives with organizational priorities and set performance targets.
- Drive team development through performance reviews, training, and recruitment.
- Foster a collaborative environment to ensure the team’s success and growth.
- Act as the key decision-maker for global master data as defined by MDM workflows.
- Serve as an escalation point for master data issues.
- Monitor and refine master data and data quality KPIs to track trends and identify areas for improvement.
What you bring:
- Over 12-15 years of experience in data management, master data, data quality, data governance, or metadata management.
- Expertise in database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and proficiency with MDM software (preferably Informatica IDQ).
- Strong knowledge of data governance practices and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems such as JDE, SAP, Business Central, or Dynamics 365.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and execute data quality improvement projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication,
and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Tech Stack: Informatica, Ataccamma, IBM InfoSphere
