Position Summary
These positions provide manual labour involving the use of hand and/or common labouring tools, operation of small motorized operating equipment and operation of motorized vehicles up a maximum of a 1 ton truck. This positions requires employee to work shift work; day, evening, weekends and holidays in rotation. Reports to the Park Maintenance Supervisor.
These are casual part-time roles where shifts may vary. Successful candidates may work up to 40 hours per week dependent on availability, and is eligible for overtime.

Responsibilities
This role requires semi-skilled heavy manual labour work, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Adhering to all safety and environmental protection programs, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Operating motorized equipment including scissor lift, forklift, ride on sweepers, motorized snow equipment, up to 50HP tractor.
- Completing daily logs as directed, which may include: vehicle inspections, fuel logs, app-based hour tracking for jobs, and field level hazard assessments.
- Performing heavy manual labour assignments ranging from: assisting with the setup for high profile events, digging trenches, moving furniture, setting up construction fences, hauling boxes, pulling garbage.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL), with a minimum of one (1) year experience required.
- Forklift operating experience and/or relative equipment experience is preferred
- Aptitude to perform heavy lifting and manual labour
- Exceptional customer service, communication and time management skills
- WHMIS Certification
- Must have CSA approved steel toe work boots
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting upwards of 50 lbs with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Pushing, pulling, crouching, bending, and reaching frequently.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, gas, odors’, animal dander, bedding waste and variability of seasonal climate.
- Physical and visual acuity is required.
