Job Summary

As an IT Vendor Management Analyst Co-op, you will support the IT Procurement and Vendor Management team at HOOPP. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including IT, legal, audit, and business teams, to manage third-party risk, procurement requests, and vendor management activities. We’re a small team that shares many responsibilities, providing a great learning environment.
What you will do:
- Perform technology risk and cost reviews.
Gaining exposure to the latest technologies supporting multiple lines of business and IT at HOOPP.
- Assist in executing and improving processes to assess and manage third-party technology and associated risk.
- Research and analyze third-party technology risks to support informed business decisions.
- Help coordinate vendor-facing activities, including gathering compliance documentation, supporting the licensing process, and facilitating contract reviews.
- Monitor vendor spend and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in onboarding new vendors, ensuring pertinent information is captured.
- Help facilitate contract renewals and coordinate quotes/contracts from vendors for review.
- Partner with IT Teams to conduct vendor performance reviews, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Ensure the data integrity of the third-party contract management system.
- Track invoices and reconcile them against new order requests or renewals.
- Facilitate invoice reviews to ensure accuracy before submission for payment approval.
- Liaise with finance and coordinate any invoice investigations with vendor partners.
What you bring:
- Currently enrolled in a Diploma or Degree program in Computer Science, Finance, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Interest in technology and business.
- IT procurement, vendor operations and risk management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical.
- Experience or coursework in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
- Ability to build business relationships with external vendor partners.
- Basic understanding of current technology trends.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office productivity suite (Office 365).
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Quick learner with the ability to identify creative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
