Position Summary
The BMO Building Security team is responsible for providing asset and loss protection through crime prevention, emergency response, and monitoring compliance with security and safety policies. This position will achieve exceptional customer service through the promotion of security initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct incident investigations, resolve and report
- Conduct emergency response to civil, criminal, medical, safety, and fire incidents
- Conduct audits and monitor compliance with security and safety regulations and procedures.
- Liaise with law enforcement, medical, fire and other agencies
- Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems and other security software programs.
- Perform walking patrol outdoors and inside buildings for unauthorized personnel, insecurities or faults; such as leaks, fires, electrical problems, or insecure equipment
- Maintain knowledge of current events on Park events and activities in order to provide information and general assistance to staff, volunteers and Stampede Park visitors.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in order to be a positive representative for the Calgary Stampede.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Current Alberta Solicitor General Security License
- Excellent investigative, interviewing and customer service skills
- Exceptional report writing,
written and verbal communication skills including effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills with MS Office and Outlook
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in team environments.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent repetitive arm, hand, finger and foot movements
- Continuously carrying of 18 – 20 lbs., occasionally carrying up to 30 – 40 lbs.
- Squatting/crouching, kneeling, reaching, and bending required
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, gases, odours, animal dander, hazardous chemicals and changes in temperature.
- Visual acuity, colour vision, auditory ability, and sense of smell and touch required.
