Job Summary
The IT Corporate Solutions group at HOOPP is currently looking for a co-op student that is enthusiastic, collaborative, and highly motivated to be a part of an exciting team! Working in a highly dynamic and agile team environment, you will learn the latest technologies and development practices, gain hands-on exposure to the pension Industry, and help make a major difference in the lives of over 400,000 current and future pensioners in our community.
The Modern Workplace team supports technologies that are critical organization wide such as Teams, Exchange, and Telephony. There will be an opportunity to write code relating to automation in these technologies.
What you will do:
- Support the team with Exchange, Teams, Telephony, Microsoft Teams Rooms and other Microsoft 365 products.
- Collaborating and working closely with team members to support the technologies in the teams’ portfolio.
- Ensure Azure DevOps boards are updated regularly.
- Providing and receiving inputs on system design and code
- Current technologies used: VS Code, Azure DevOps, C#, Python, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform
What you bring:
- Knowledge of object-oriented languages (C#, Java, C++, or similar), and/or JavaScript
- Knowledge of PowerShell or similar scripting language
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other cloud computing platforms
- Passion for learning new technologies and apply new skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-moving team-based environment
- High enthusiasm, self-starter and urgency to get things done
