Job Summary
The Human Resources Student Intern will be reporting to and providing administrative support and coordination for the Human Resources team. The work will focus on supporting various team initiatives including learning and development, and diversity and inclusion programs. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, a team player, takes initiative and is well-organized. The Student Intern will have an opportunity to with different HR departments during their internship.
What you will do:
- Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team.
- Develops standard reports and dashboards displaying key HR data.
- Conducts data analysis to support various initiatives.
- Supports the HR Team on a variety of projects including completing research on current HR trends.
- Supports the HR Team on various Equity, Diversity,
and Inclusion initiatives.
- Assist in coordination of meetings and Learning and Development events.
- Assists with recruitment activities which may include, job postings on social media sites and establish and promote HOOPP’s employee value proposition.
- Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to assist managers or team members.
What you will bring:
- Enrolled in post-secondary education program in Human Resources.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of metrics and data.
- Excellent time management skills: ability to plan and prioritize workload as well as adaptability to a changing multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with senior staff and external counterparties.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism.
- Exercises excellent judgment and initiative in handling business issues of significance to the company.
