Job Description
Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Operations Commercial Management group is seeking a Coordinator, Contract & Vendor Management (12 Month Contract)
to provide commercial oversight of Metrolinx’s operations vendors.
What will I be doing?
- Ensure due diligence in the performance of works under various Agreements by providing documentation and interpretation of contractual rights and obligations, verifying invoice compliance to the contract.
- Create various types of records such as, invoice records, supplier records, including the data gathering and entry of such documents.
- Manage intake process as a gate-keeper, triaging requests, either directing them to related coworkers or actioning on them and challenging them where required
- Has awareness to understand general scope of contracts, invoice requirements and coordinates all the aspects of invoice processing including vendor communications.
- Support SCA/Specialist in verification of invoice contract compliance, expense recovery, and revenue billing where appropriate and provide feedback to ensure no roadblocks to process payment, and liase with vendor as required.
- Propose improvements and lessons learned around invoice submittal/processing/approval workflows to reduce time from receipt to payment.
- Review vendor schedules against project progress as observed in the field.
- Perform data mining, complete process maps and create master databases, including statistical analysis of large data sets to identify and correct inconsistencies and anomalies, focusing on payment cycle reduction, using various software.
- Develop and perform ad-hoc Master Data related queries and reports to support business needs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders or authorities, as required.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings and prepare accurate meeting minutes.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Completion of a certificate in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Accounting or related field – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience working for an owner/public sector agency involving large-scale infrastructure/transit project would be considered as an asset.
- Experience identifying problems, making recommendations, and implementing solutions.
- Experience coordinating and managing financial/administrative services for general office facilities and related assets.
- Strong written communication skills as well as, collaboration skills to work across various departments as well as, with different levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following is considered an asset: competence in software such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Oracle E-Business Suite, Asset Management Software (Infor EAM), Unifier,
