This family of four in Leaside, with two lovely children aged 9 and 11, is looking for a full-time nanny/house manager who can be part of their team long-term.
The position is available to start as soon as possible, and they are offering up to $32 per hour for the right candidate.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Note: Fridays will occasionally need coverage due to professional development (PD) days. A day off in lieu will be given on these weeks.
Duties:
Childcare
- Provide general care for two children, aged 9 and 11 years old.
- Get children ready for school.
- Drive children to and from school and after-school activities as needed.
- Handle children’s laundry.
- Prepare lunches and snacks for the following day.
- Organize children’s clothing.
- Oversee homework, music practice, and after-school care.
House Management
- Keep the household tidy (note: the family already has a housekeeper).
- Prepare evening meals for the family.
- Grocery shopping.
- Occasional pet care, including letting their medium-sized dog out during the day.
Both parents work in the home development industry (mostly in the office with occasional work from home). They lead a healthy lifestyle, engage in sports, enjoy music, and like to cook.
They value spending time with friends and family and have a large extended family with whom they frequently spend time. They also love their neighborhood and neighbors.
They are particularly looking for someone with extensive experience as a nanny/household manager who has worked in private homes with school-aged children and teens. The candidate should be someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and is willing to take care of the home while the children are at school.
The ideal candidate is warm, personable, hard-working, a self-starter, dependable, reliable, has a good sense of humor, and is a good communicator.
Cooking skills and a passion for preparing meals are also important.
Driving is required, and a vehicle will be provided for work purposes.
