Technical Operations Manager - Expanded Mining
Description:
Major Job Functions:
1. Lead, demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment and culture for all branch employees, contractors, and customers.
2. Ensure that all safety practices, policies, and compliance requirements are followed, employees hold and maintain the appropriate safety training required for their position, monthly spot audits are conducted, and that at a minimum, safety TRIF and LTI targets are met, while always striving for zero.
3. Demonstrate clear and effective leadership to branch employees through role and responsibility guidance, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and supporting growth, development, and training opportunities.
4.
Provide quality, timely feedback to individuals through formal and informal conversations to support the performance management process.
5. Share Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) results, solicit feedback, develop and post an action plan on the Action Planning website.
6. Manage day-to-day branch operations, assets, and finances including planning, managing, and reporting of branch financial results, assets, and facilities requirements.
7. Deliver business results by generating field service opportunities with customers and regional Finning sales representatives, taking a direct sales leadership role when required.
8. Review the monthly metrics related to People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost with branch employees.
9. Manage the successful execution of Finning’s Service Excellence Operational process and customer service commitment within the branch.
10. Own successful execution on the customer contract (if applicable).
11. Direct timely resolutions to customer issues and goodwill settlements.
12. Investigate service eforms related to variances, service warranty, and service re-do.
13.
Create annual budget, forecasting, and review applicable contract management emails if required.
14. Actively pursue monies from CAT recoveries.
15. Maximize recovery of components from CAT and OEM.
16. Drive field service sales and execution.

Experience:
1. 8-10 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience.
2.
Previous experience on the repair and execution side of business.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude to expand technical expertise knowledge base and gain experience.
