Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring a Co-op Financial Reporting Student for the Summer Term (May to August).

During your time with us, you will gain exposure to what it’s like to be part of our Financial Reporting Team.

What you’ll do:

We’ll treat you as one of our own and your key areas of responsibility will include:

- Assisting with the preparation of sections of Emera’s quarterly financial statements and MD&A;




- Assisting with the month end preparation of consolidated financial results including preparing intercompany reconciliations and preparation of variance analysis reporting;
- Assisting with quarterly deliverables including preparation of government reports and working with other departments to gather and provide information; and
- Assisting with adhoc requests as required.

Who you are:

Working as a valued part of our Corporate Accounting team, you will bring:

- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks;
- Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, high attention to detail and analytical skills;
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Prior accounting experience considered an asset but not a requirement.
