POSITION DESCRIPTION: In a context of growth,
where the need for real estate development and construction is increasing, it is essential to recruit a senior profile with the necessary experience to effectively manage all the responsibilities associated with these strategic functions. This position, reporting directly to the Vice President of Development and Construction, involves a leadership role both in supervising construction projects and, to some extent, in managing the initial phases of development.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commit to recognizing and managing risks in real estate development projects
Coordinate resources and supervise a team of several project managers
Ensure project deadlines are met
Ensure quality control of operations
Ensure that budgets for projects in progress are respected
Ensure the full implementation of the various projects
Have a solid foundation in estimation using the comparable method
Participate in the hiring of future employees
Plan, establish and organize schedules and budgets
Provide direction to different collaborators
Provide regular follow-ups to the Vice President of Development and Construction
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold a degree in engineering or architecture or an equivalent combination with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction of real estate projects (residential, offices, shopping centers, etc.)
Have good technical knowledge of construction methods
Possess excellent skills in turnkey project development
Be able to provide impeccable project progress and cost reports to various stakeholders
LEED certification, an asset
Good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
