Role Responsibilities:

- Assist in scheduling, preparing and implementing recreation programs which support Intercare’s philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of the customers, as directed.
- Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance.
- Documents care, programs and interactions as required on the resident’s health care record.
- Participate in outings and other special events.
- Demonstrate respect to all customers, by working with them in a calm, courteous manner.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

- A Recreation Therapy Aide Diploma is preferred; a Recreation Therapy Aide certificate and/or a minimum of two years as recreation therapy assistant or related field experience in a continuing care setting will be considered.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.




- Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined.
- Preference will be given to those candidates who have a therapy aide certificate from a recognized program.

Location: Brentwood Care Center

Position Type: Temporary Full-time (0.1 FTE)

Hours of Work: 8:00am to 4:00 pm (flexibility required)

Pay: $18.80-$24.32 per hour

- recreational therapy: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Therapeutic Recreation certificate, degree or diploma (required)
