OUR OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic Project Administrator to join our Ottawa team working primarily on ICI interior construction projects. You will leverage your formal construction learning to support to our Project Managers through all phases of our construction projects from tender through construction and close-out.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing a range of administrative services through all phases of our projects, from start-up through construction and close-out.
- Playing a key role in the tender process, ensuring construction project files and documents are prepared, shared, and logged with a high level of accuracy and within required timeframes.




- Assembling and preparing documents of a complex nature i.e., RFQs, subcontractor purchase orders and contracts, drawing packages.
- Liaising and following up with designers and sub-contractors to obtain required information, such as change orders, estimates and close-out documentation.
- Setting up and maintaining accurate project information and data in our computerized project management system (CMiC).
- Providing regular project status updates to the Project Managers and Project Manager Assistants.
- Obtaining and assembling project close-out documentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, warranties, building permit etc.
- Providing top notch service to clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders by responding professionally and with a sense of urgency.

WHAT YOU BRING





- Successful completion of or are currently enrolled in a Construction Project Management program or other construction related program at a post-secondary institution.
- Open to learning and professional mentorship.
- Ability to successfully obtain Government of Canada security clearance.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software like Word and Excel.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team and have positive working interactions with clients, designers, and subcontractors.
- Ability to Prioritize work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Confident communication in person, via email and on the phone.

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

- Primary work location is 333 Preston Street, Ottawa with potential for work-related travel.
- Exposure to construction work site environment in all seasons.
- On-site and in-office.
