Overview
A Toronto-based communications company is seeking a full stack Web Developer, specializing in C#, for a two-month contract position starting immediately.

You should have 2-4 years of experience in .

Net web development and a passion for web standards.

You strive for excellence in your work and always seek to develop dynamic and usable sites for any audience.

This freelancer position will be for 8 weeks
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with project teams to conceptualize, develop, and execute engaging and usable interactive experiences.

Develop standards-compliant and usable websites and contribute to site documentation.

Perform ongoing site maintenance and updates.

Participate in project processes, contribute to project completion, and be accountable to deadlines.

Exercise best practices, current trends,



and come up with creative solutions to development problems or obstacles.

Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in .

Net web development using C#.

Expertise in .

Net MVC and component-based development.

Strong knowledge of Svelte.

Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, Java

Script, and jQuery to build responsive, cross-browser compatible web pages.

Strong knowledge of C# .NET, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework to build scalable, maintainable, and performant web applications.

Strong understanding of database design and implementation using SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases.

Knowledge of web application security best practices, such as input validation, output encoding, and secure authentication and authorization.

Knowledge of software testing methodologies, such as unit testing, integration testing,



and end-to-end testing, to ensure code quality and minimize the risk of errors.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to collaborate effectively with team members and deliver high-quality code.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment process, and ensure faster time to market.

Knowledge of responsive web design to build websites that work well on different devices and screen sizes.

Knowledge of web accessibility best practices and standards, such as WCAG 2.0 & 2.1, to ensure websites are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.

Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, such as minification, bundling, and caching, to improve website performance and user experience.

Strong documentation skills to ensure code is well-documented, maintainable,



and easily understood by other developers.

Continuous desire to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve skills and build better web applications.

Good organizational skills: Junior/Mid-Level .

Net C# Web Developers should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice to have
Familiarity with various industry-standard graphic and design tools such as Photoshop,
Illustrator, Sketch, Zeplin, Figma, Principle, and diagramming/wireframing tools.

Experience with other front-end frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js, or Backbone.js.

Familiarity with testing frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, or xUnit.

Knowledge of SQL Server or other relational databases.

Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms.
