Senior IT Capital Markets Project Manager to lead a electronic Fixed Income Quant Trading project with one of our major banking clients- 36574

Location Address: Hybrid (2-3/days on site)- Toronto

Contract Duration: 6 months (High Chance of Extension

Schedule Hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs per week

Story Behind the Need

- Business Regulatory and Business Initiatives
- Project: The project manager will support the development of a business case and completion of all applicable EDF artifacts in order to obtain funding for the next phase of electronic Fixed Income Quant Trading strategy. This role will work directly with the business and technology to converge existing solutions/applications across 3 asset classes (Govies,



Credit and Swaps) and all regions (CAD, US, UK) into a unified eFI Trading Platform, consisting of automated pricing, automated hedging, and automated execution.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
- Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
- Partner closely with other members of functional teams to define business requirements
- Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
- Define & coordinate trading desks
- User Acceptance Testing Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
- Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
- Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors

Must Have Skills:





- 10+ years Proven project management experience People management and team building skills
- Experience in business oriented project - Capital Markets -trading project , Front office applications - Bloomberg, trade web, trading technology
- Solid understanding of Fixed income product suite - Govt bonds, credit, swaps
- Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
- Very strong communication skills, ability to work with all levels of stakeholders

Nice-To-Have Skills:





- Electronic trading project experience is an asset
- Experience inner technology team
- Lead / managed large teams before
- Experience in front office in trading assistance capacity

Best vs Average: Experience in Top 5 bank with strong PM experience in capital markets with tools and products mentions in the must haves, strong multilevel stakeholder management skills.

Degrees or certifications:

• Undergraduate degree in business-related studies or equivalent work experience

Master/ PMP is an asset
