Our client is seeking a Senior, Agile, PMP Certified Project Manager with Scrum Master experience (5+ years) to lead and manage medium to large complexity projects consisting of multiple Agile teams within the financial services industry (Hybrid, office across Canada).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality, that provides exceptional business value to users.
- Responsible for managing several concurrent projects, using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.
- At an initiative level:
leading and managing medium to large complexity projects consisting of multiple Agile teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the Agile teams.
- At a team level: playing a consultative role to help establish the appropriate people, process, tools, and coaching needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team.
- Required to act as the Scrum Master for teams requiring such support.
- Work as part of a high performing, diverse, inclusive, and supportive team
- In situations that require a hybrid Agile approach: using good judgement and skill to develop a project management approach that is suitable to achieve the project goals within designated project constraints.
- Work closely with other corporate groups to effectively align all requirements to support project objectives.
- Effectively manage projects to meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
- Apply and monitor appropriate risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle - Ensure change, acceptance and approval management is proactive and effective at all phases.
- Proactively identify and escalate project issues and risks that require management or executive attention.
- Effectively and consistently manage progress reports on project accomplishments against milestones.
- Track and manage vendor delivery in accordance with objectives.
- Ensure timely communication between project teams and their stakeholders.
- Serve as single point of contact between internal groups, external consultants/contractors, and management.
- Facilitate project meetings with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies including the daily scrum, retrospectives, sprint planning, reviews and backlog refinement.
- Drive continuous improvement in the project management process by championing initiatives and implementing best practices.
- Prepare progress reports for management.

- The Project Manager will be expected to use knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles with Agile practices in the right proportions, to provide the appropriate level of planning and predictability with the right balance of flexibility and agility.

Must Have
- 5+ years as an Agile Project Manager
- PMP
- Experience managing multiple concurrent Agile Teams on various projects across various business units.
- Experience working as a Scrum Master
- Scrum/Kanban, SAFe or other Agile methodologies.

- Working towards or achieved PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent Scrum Master certification
