Warehouse Manager is responsible for management of day to day activities related to warehouse and Logistics for GTS Canada and US to ensure that work is done is a timely and in efficient manner.
Warehouse manager oversees the activities related to 3PL warehouse performance and on time order process to meet the demands.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage 3PL warehouse operation to drive delivery performance and meet daily operation needs
- Collaborate with IT to ensure EDI process execution and find improvement initiatives to ensure the team effectiveness
- Manage inventory levels and drive inventory reduction plans to reduce carrying cost
- Ensure ERP and EDI data integrity
- Management of operational warehouse and Logistics activities to meet monthly KPIs
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to Suppliers and international trade
- Track and monitor inventory level and requirements driving initiatives to reduce inventory level year after year
- Manage 3PL inventory
- Develop, maintain and lead a competent and motivated team
- Manage and monitor performance of the 3PL and Logistics team
- Develop and maintain short and medium term plans for inventory turnover, resources and KPI
- Schedule and apply internal and 3PL resources in the most efficient and effective manner in order to meet Organization requirements
- Develop and maintain an effective process and management improvement system
- Provide the opportunity for upgrading individual skills and provide opportunities for advancement
- You will supervise, mentor, and engage all managers within the Supply Chain Management Department
Key Requirements:
- Scientific background with post secondary degree (MSc, or Business, or equivalent) and additional business education or experience
- 15+ years of experience in Warehouse/Material Management and EDI in warehouse Management
- Demonstrate superior interpersonal written and oral skills
- Maintain complete and effective lines of communication with staff and management
- Set a positive environment within the team
- Management experience with ability to mentor, coach, and inspire teams
- Experience in developing and implementing a procurement strategy in a Project based organization is an important asset
- Experience with SAP Supply Chain module
