Job Description
Reporting to the Manager Field IT, you will:
- Conduct hardware/software/telecom installation/maintenance work.
- Conduct imaging of various hardware.
- Determine clients’ issues through troubleshooting, resolve issues or escalate to appropriate support staff.
- Maintain proper asset and inventory records related to IT equipment.
- Conduct computer deployments/rollouts as required.
- Maintain or develop IT documentation/records as required.
- Adhere to departmental processes and procedures.
Must Haves:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software products, PC desktop hardware, Network and Telecom cabling including installation techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of SQL, VPN clients, Citrix, mobile handhelds, VoIP, and landline telecom.
- Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and interact with individuals at all levels including documenting and reporting.
- Experience working in a service-desk oriented environment including incident management process and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting research assignments for technology related issues and background knowledge gathering on new initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills to enable effective management of multiple, shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting with clients over the phone and/or in person in a professional and friendly manner.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying/implementing process improvements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment.
- Must be available to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- The successful candidate(s) will be required to work in-office.
