A career as a Senior Advisor on the Consolidation team at National Bank means acting as an expert in the process of closing and producing the bank's consolidated financial statements. Working in the Consolidation team is an opportunity to gain an overview of the bank's activities and to forge links with colleagues from many different sectors.
Your job
Prepare, in conjunction with the various accounting teams, the financial data, elimination entries and other accounting rules required to produce the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
Participate in the preparation of several notes to the consolidated financial statements
Produce the reports required by the various Canadian regulators according to schedule
Support team members in various financial analyses related to the bank's activities
Acquire an overview of the bank's complex operations (sectors, subsidiaries, budgets, costs allocations and volumes)
Develop your digital solution expertise to become a key player in mandates impacting consolidation (ex. the implementation of new standards, modifications to existing ones or the updating of corporate hierarchies in response to structural changes)
Improve existing processes with an innovative mindset by leveraging the digital solution
Establish partnerships with different sectors of the bank and various external stakeholders
Your team
You will be work with 5 colleagues in the Consolidation team and you will report to the Senior Manager. You'll be part of an inclusive, committed and dynamic team, one that thrives on challenges and values team spirit and collaboration.

Prerequisite
Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3 to 5 years' relevant experience
CPA designation an asset
Knowledge of Excel essential
Knowledge of SAP
