- Degree in a related discipline and one (1) year of relevant experience OR Post secondary diploma in a related discipline and two (2) years relevant experience OR one (1) year related certificate (Relevant computer certificate programs generally have a minimum of 700+ instructional hours and will include relevant course work to the position. Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade or GED is required) and four (4) years relevant experience.
- Certification in MS Intune or a related Microsoft technology is preferred
- Experience designing, monitoring and securing Windows operating systems and application deployments.
- Proficient in Windows 10/11device management and security.




- Experience with PowerShell scripting, Azure Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Microsoft 365 security and compliance.
- Able to rapidly acquire in-depth knowledge of unfamiliar systems through research and self-learning.
- Exception written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, teamwork, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Highly self-motivated with the proven ability to work independently to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a mission critical high-pressure environment.
- Able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting up to 35 kilograms.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required. Must have or qualify for a City of Edmonton driving permit OR Must be willing to provide own vehicle and obtain and provide proof of business related public liability and damage issuance of a least $1,000,000. The Edmonton Police Service does provide mileage compensation.

Hours of Work:

33.75 hours per week, 0800 – 1600 hours Monday - Friday.



Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program. Incumbents must be available for call-out outside of these hours on a rotational basis.

Salary Range:

21M, Salary Grade: 044, $46.14 – $58.15 (Hourly), $3,115.10 – $3,925.50 (Biweekly), $81,303.00 – $102,454.57 (Annually).
The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.

HR Technician: CS

The EPS Technology Service Branch requires two (2) self-motivated individuals to provide in-depth technical expertise and support in the operation, maintenance and proactive monitoring of enterprise endpoint hardware, software and services. This role ensure the protection, integrity and availability of corporate data and systems:

- Deploy, configure, secure and manage devices using Intune policies and apps.
- Monitor and report on device compliance, health and status.
- Resolve device management issues and escalate t o vendors when needed.
- Create, test, deploy and maintain customized Windows deployment sequences for different hardware.
- Package,



test, deploy, update and monitor in-house or third-party software.
- Provide backend support for Ivanti ITAM/ITSM using Ivanti Neurons.
- Knowledge of configuration, LDAP, business objects, roles, automation, functionality reporting and analytics.
- Monitor ITSM for tickets and respond to high-priority and emergency outages.
- Identify, diagnose and remediate enterprise-wide issues with endpoint devices.
- Act as an escalation point for advanced issues and problems.
- Building rapport with support groups and end users t o proactively identify potential issues/concerns.
- Communicate and meet with different groups and vendors to keep information current for hardware, software and projects
- Perform other related duties as required.
