Hays is partnered with an award-winning new home builder with over 40 years of experience in the Calgary market. With over 7 communities across the Greater Calgary Metropolitan area, they are currently in a growth phase and are looking to add a Senior Architectural Designer to their team. This position is part of a succession plan, with the successful candidate expected to move into a management role within the next year. *in office FTResponsibilities:Develop 3D models of single-family homes using RevitCreate detailed working drawings, plot plans, floor plans,
and elevationsCollaborate with the design team to develop original concept designsEnsure designs comply with local building codes and regulationsCoordinate with other departments to ensure project timelines and budgets are metReview and approve design changes and construction documentsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior designersStay updated with industry trends and advancements in architectural design softwareQualifications:7 years’ experience in drafting/ design in wood frame construction, ideally single family/ custom homesManagerial/ supervisory experience considered a strong assetStrong understanding of the local building codes and current land use bylaws for CalgaryExpert knowledge of the residential construction processes, building materials, permit processes, etc. Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Revit required, (AutoCAD considered an asset). The successful candidate will earn $90-100K (dependent on experience) + bonus, benefits including health + dental, RRSP up to 4% after the first years service.
