ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the Managing Partner, the Structural Engineering Associate will play a pivotal role in offering services that include general drafting and design of buildings, energy modelling and consultation, structural engineering, building code analysis, and acting as a turn-key prime consultant for building drawings. The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly motivated individual with a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAnalysis and design of concrete, wood, and steel structuresStructural engineering of residential, commercial, and industrial buildingsPreparing detailed drawings and plans for construction projectsAssisting with the analysis and design of building structuresSupporting the review and approval process of structural designsMaintaining accurate project documentation and recordsConducting site visits to gather data and ensure compliance with design specificationsSite inspections and reviews as requiredCoordination and communication with office staffCoordination and communication with contractorsCollaborating with project teams to develop innovative engineering solutionsCollaboration with senior engineers to support integrated designsAssisting in the preparation and review of engineering calculations, reports, and specificationsParticipating in project meetings and presentations to stakeholdersStaying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practicesEnsuring all engineering work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulationsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSRegistered as E.I.T. or P.Eng. with Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)Proficiency in structural engineering design of concrete, wood, and steel structuresGood general construction knowledgeStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated leadership capabilitiesStrong organizational and time management skillsExceptional work ethicStrong attention to detailAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamWilling to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologiesIf you are passionate about structural engineering and eager to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team, we encourage you to apply for the Structural Engineering Associate position.
