Job TitleSenior Technical Analyst – Advanced Analytics (Data Engineer)We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Analyst to lead our advanced analytics and data engineering efforts. This is a key role in our Innovation and Technology Group, responsible for determining technical architecture, leading projects, managing operational activities, and guiding resources.About the RoleThis permanent, full-time position reports to the Manager, Enterprise Advanced Analytics. The successful candidate will have broad and deep technical and analytical ability within their area of responsibility as well as strong communication skills.Main ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement data pipelines using SQL and Azure cloud services,



including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake Storage.Develop processes and documentation for data collection, integration, and consumption, and contribute to design and development of RESTful APIs.Collaborate with data science team members to build and optimize digital products and machine learning models.Provide day-to-day support and technical expertise to both technical and non-technical teams.Identify and implement process improvements by automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and ensuring data infrastructures are scalable, resilient, and performant.Work with the Information Security team to implement best practices and recommendations that ensure security of our data sources and data platform.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and at least 10 years' post-degree experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-data architecture and environments.Experience with virtual server platforms, storage devices, computer network resources, cloud computing, project management,



and vendor management.Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases.Strong background in technology with experience in data engineering, data warehouse development, or software development looking to move into the big data environment.Computer programming skills in Python, Java, JSON, HTML, SQL, and experience with data integration using APIs, Azure, Databricks, Denodo, Snowflakes, and Qlik.Strong written and oral communication skills, project management skills, and excellent documentation skills, including workflow documentation.About UsWe are YVR, more than just an airport.
