Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, the Digital Media Coordinator will be involved in creating, scheduling, and optimizing engaging content across Dixon Hall's social media platforms while tracking analytics to improve engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and schedule engaging content for Dixon Hall’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Monitor social media analytics to track engagement and optimize future posts.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the organization’s website, ensuring all information is current and visually appealing.
- Create short videos and graphics to enhance online storytelling and promote programs.
- Support email marketing campaigns, including designing templates and tracking performance.
- Research trends in digital media to improve Dixon Hall’s online presence and reach diverse audiences.
- Other duties as required.
Canada Summer Jobs Requirements
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with design tools such as Canva,
Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools.
- Experience with website management and email marketing platforms (e.g., WordPress, Mailchimp).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
- Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening check with a ‘Clear’ or satisfactory result that meets the operational requirements of the Agency.
- Must have up-to-date vaccinations against COVID-19 with a vaccine that has been approved for use in Canada.
