Our financial client is seeking a Senior L3 Support Engineer to troubleshoot performance issues and provide hands-on expertise in managing and optimizing DB2 environments.

Work model: Hybrid role based in Toronto (2-3 days in-office per week)

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and resolve performance issues related to DB2 databases in AIX/Linux environments. Administer and optimize DB2 instances and write complex SQL queries.
- Collaborate with vendors (e.g., Kindler and SaaS) to ensure timely resolution of system issues and alignment with project goals.
- Conduct root cause analysis for database and system-level issues.
- Document troubleshooting processes and system configurations.

Must-Have Skills:





- 3+ years of hands-on experience with DB2 administration and SQL.
- Experience working in AIX and/or Linux environments (experience with both is a plus).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on performance issues.
- Ability to handle vendor meetings and maintain effective communication with third-party vendors like Kyndryl and SaaS.
