Intermediate IT Banking Project Manager to lead a onboarding project with one of our major banking clients- 36628
Location Address: Hybrid (2-3/week on site)- Toronto
Contract Duration: 3 months (High Chance of Extension)
Schedule Hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs per week
Story Behind the Need
- Business Unit: Insurance Risk & Audit Management System
- Project: Candidate will be working on a new onboarding from one financial institution to another for a financial application. The candidate will need to fulfill all obligations for a project manager for a standard project lifecycle for this type of initiative.
The candidate will be exposed to technical teams on both financial institutions to facilitate what is needed to complete the onboarding of the financial entity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
- Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
- Partner closely with other members of functional teams to define business requirements
- Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
- Define & coordinate trading desks
- User Acceptance Testing Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
- Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
- Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Must Have Skills:
- 2+ years Proven IT project management experience in FI/ bank
- Technical onboarding experience
- People management and team building skills, working within deadlines
- Project lifecycle and delivery standards within the FI/ Banking industry
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience inner technology team
- Lead / managed large teams before
Best vs Average: Experience in Top 5 bank with strong PM experience, strong multilevel stakeholder management skills.
Degrees or certifications:
• Undergraduate degree in business-related studies or equivalent work experience
Master/ PMP is an asset
