VIRTUAL PRODUCTION TECHNICAL OPERATOR – LUMOSTAGE FILM SERVICESWHO WE ARE: Lumostage is a motion picture production services company offering a state-of-the-art production ecosystem that combines conventional and virtual production workflows in our Langley, BC facility.VIRTUAL PRODUCTION TECHNICAL OPERATOR: As Virtual Production Technical Operator, you will be on the keys on shoot days, driving the system according to the demands of the Director and DP. This position is primarily focused on operating our Int. Car. virtual car process system, although the right candidate may have the opportunity to put Unreal Engine Operator skills to use on some shoots. As a client-facing hire on a small team,
emphasis will be placed on a constructive and inclusive communication style, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to contribute to an employee and client experience that focuses on learning, growth, and a supportive professional environment.Pre-ProductionContribute to in-house R&D; projects, providing creative solutions to production challenges. Perform general asset preparation tasks, such as quality control and file organization.. Ensure that digital assets conform to our led volume requirementsManage the importing of digital assets, and test for playback irregularities before we head into production.Troubleshoot and brainstorm solutions to artistic and technical problems with our internal team team ProductionLoad different environments and assets for the shootManipulate assets on the fly, per client request or shoot requirementsTroubleshoot system difficulties as they arise to avoid excessive downtime on shoot days.Troubleshoot and brainstorm solutions to artistic and technical problems with the internal team as well as the client team.SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of film, broadcast,
and/or live event video experience working with Resolume.Working knowledge of Blackmagic and Brompton hardware and software an asset.Demonstrate a strong understanding of large format led systems, various video formats and resolutions, sync and timecode hardware and practicesExperience working on film sets and an understanding of film set hierarchy and culture.Experience in fast paced VFX, animation or video production environments an asset.Strong understanding of the production process Ability to deliver the highest level of quality while managing tight deadlines and the pressure of film production. Solid organization skills, adhering to protocols such as file structures, naming conventions, and other established protocols. Salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, plus company medical and dental benefits.
