THE ROLE





This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of IT cybersecurity engagements for clients in a diverse range of economic sectors. This role supports the whole Security Operations team in assessing client or prospect IT requirements, including review of their existing security software and infrastructure environments. It includes supporting the presentation of findings and recommendations of solution options to clients and prospects, leading to long-term profitable relationships.

This is a junior to intermediate level role ideal for a dependable professional who excels at supporting customer success while maintaining a strong focus on achieving results.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct awareness and education campaigns for Shing clients.
- Create security risk assessments for IT, OT and other client environments, leading to solution recommendations.
- Creatively develop and execute on diverse social engineering campaigns and rigorous penetration testing engagements.




- Assist other team members in the execution of IT audit engagements and security risk assessments for clients in a variety of economic sectors.
- Work in a collaborative team analyzing client issues and interviewing key personnel, assessing security risks in the governance and controls of their environments.
- Writing cybersecurity review policies, procedures, and processes, including identifying and implementing improvements.
- Understanding and clearly articulating findings and observations. Ability to document findings, risks, vulnerabilities, and recommendations in a paper.
- Analyzing client issues and interviewing key personnel, assessing the governance, risks, and controls of the client OT or IT environments.
- Communicating information on potential improvements to client cybersecurity environments by analyzing cyber risks, proposing technical, education and software solutions to reduce that risk.




- Maintaining and expanding on professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Contributing to Shing’s Security Operations effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives. This includes building Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), developing procedures and organizing internal security documentation.
- Keeping clear records of activities, client communications and needs via CRM.
- Participating in corporate Webinars.
- Performing other duties as identified and required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES





Previous Information Technology solution experience.A Diploma or Technical Post-Secondary Degree or equivalent in a related field.A successful record of audit planning, process design, technical wiring or project management may be considered in lieu of direct technical education or experience, in appropriate cases.1+ years of experience building or overseeing builds for computers, servers, network infrastructure and Cloud Deployment (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) would be an asset.Innovative and enthusiastic problem-solving ability.Open and receptive while working through client issues and ever-changing requirements.Expertise in evaluating and defining security needs to align with organizational goals.Excellent communication/presentation skills.Adaptive organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to task manage to maximize productivity.Knowledge of Project Management and CRM software (eg. Kaseya Autotask) is a plus.




Available to travel to Edmonton and other locations when necessary.
