Your Role

Reporting into the Assistant Director, E-Discovery Services, the EDS PM is accountable for managing e-discovery projects on a day-to-day basis while working closely with the Firm’s lawyers, paraprofessionals and other members of the EDS team. This role is responsible for adhering to the established protocols and procedures for litigation file management including, but not limited to, overseeing a matter through the EDRM lifecycle in accordance with the Firm’s guidelines, assisting with workspace customization, working with, and training, lawyers, paraprofessionals and other staff members on the use of analytic and review technologies, and preparation of documents for production.

Hours of work are from 9 am to 5 pm. Occasional pre-authorized overtime may be required to meet client needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Case Management

- Serving as a technology-focused project lead on assigned cases and during specific phases of the e-discovery process
- Working with case teams and/or clients to plan discovery projects for both electronically stored information (ESI) and paper, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, review and production of client evidence
- Ensuring that all case content, document management and database administrative functions are performed to meet the needs of the case teams
- Consulting with legal teams regarding best practices for document management, electronic discovery and matter workflow
- Preparing recommendations, estimates and project plans,



collection and preservation plans and overall discovery plans
- Reporting to case teams, Senior Director, and EDS Assistant Director on project status
- Collecting, maintaining and analyzing project details and project-related metrics
- Supporting and encouraging use of Managed Services Agreement for delivery of e-discovery services

Training

- Conducting or participating in the training, coaching, and mentoring of lawyers and paraprofessionals at all levels in the best and most efficient use of the e-discovery tools and workflows
- Contributing to process improvement, including updating templates, standards and guidelines
- Assisting the Senior Director and Assistant Director with design of e-discovery training materials
- Staying current on litigation-related technology, case law and processes in the industry





Required Knowledge and Experience

- A Law Clerk, Paralegal or Legal Administration diploma is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a legal or provider environment with managing e-discovery projects
- Completion of Relativity certifications required. Relativity Certified Administrator designation is preferred
- Proficient in Relativity Server or RelativityOne
- Knowledge or experience with other e-discovery applications
- PMP designation would be an asset
- Knowledge of the EDRM and Sedona Canada Principles, regional Court Rules and Practices related to E-Discovery
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Membership or active participation in industry leading groups such as ACEDS, WiE, ILTA
- Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
