Full Details:
Position Title: Senior IT Project Manager
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 06 Months long Contract (with possibilities of more extension)
Location: This role is based in GTA / Downtown, Toronto, ON (Hybrid role, 2 days / week mandatory work from office)
Start Date: Middle / End of February 2025
Pay Rate: 70$ - 90$ Incorporated + HST
OR
55$ - 65$ on T4
(Depending on years’ of experience and skillset)
Job Description (Must - have Skills):
We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager with below skillsets:
- 10 - 12+ years overall relevant experience (IT experience in IT project management or infrastructure management)
- Canadian Banking / Financial domain experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery Support - Assist in planning, coordination and execution of IT infrastructure and technology projects
- Infrastructure Planning and Support - Support the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology transitions aligned with the technology target state
- Application Governance and Register Management – Maintain and update the application register, ensuring it accurately reflects all systems in use and their status
- Application Decommissioning and Audit Support – Assist in planning and executing application decommissioning projects to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations. Support audit of applications to ensure compliance with regulatory, security and organizational standards.
- ORM Support – Support the identification and management of operational risks across IT projects and infrastructure activities. Collaborate with the ORM team to address and respond to emerging risks in a timely manner.
- Collaboration and Communication – Work closely with project teams, IT leadership and other departments. Communicate project status, risks, dependencies.
Skill Set & Qualification:
- 10+ years of IT experience in IT project management or infrastructure management with a focus on planning, execution and delivery
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and application lifecycle management
- Proven experience in managing application decommissioning, audits and governance processes.
- Familiarity with operational risk management frameworks and risk mitigation strategies
- PMP or ITIL certifications
