Our client is looking for a Senior Network Analyst with Cyber Security experience to design, implement, maintain and configure network hardware/software for a MSSP transformation program.
This role requires you to be onsite 3 days/week with flexibility in Calgary or Edmonton.
Must Haves:
- 7+ years' experience as a Network Analyst with Cyber Security experience
- Experience specifically integrating network technologies with SIEM
- Experience with network technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Fortinet
Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as; CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA N+
Responsibilities:
- System Implementation: Design and implement, configure network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs,
to meet organizational needs.
- Firewall Management: Configure and manage firewall rules and policies to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- System Integration: Integrate network systems to SIEM including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and antivirus solutions.
- Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Incident Response: Respond to and mitigate network security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, security policies, and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure network systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on network security, best practices and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest network technologies and cybersecurity trends, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
