Our ideal Group Exercise/Spin Instructor will have outstanding customer service and communication skills. As an instructor, you'll lead engaging, high-energy classes, ensuring participants stay motivated and perform exercises with proper form. You’ll create a welcoming environment for our corporate clientele and foster a supportive community, helping clients reach their fitness goals through dynamic group workouts. Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging and high-energy spin classes, motivating and guiding participants to achieve their fitness goals.
- Foster a positive,
inclusive environment that encourages member participation and progress.
- Stay informed on the latest trends in fitness and spin instruction to ensure classes are fresh, effective, and exciting.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to member needs and feedback, creating an enjoyable and rewarding class experience.
- Ensure the facility is safe, secure, and accessible only to authorized members and guests.
- Actively participate in facility events and activities as directed by management.
- Ability to sub last minute for our afternoon classes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall member experience.
Qualifications:
- College degree in physical education or related field preferred
- Certification from a nationally recognized accredited agency such as ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, and NSPA
- Current first aid, CPR, and other safety certifications when required by the client
- Ability to demonstrate equipment use for exercise training
- Must be able to lift 45-pound weight plates
- Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
- Efficient, well organized,
and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
- Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
- Strong team player
- Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
- The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Normal corporate work hours: classes take place between 12-1 Monday through Thursday.
